Axis Three is the leader and pioneer of advanced surgical simulation tools for the cosmetic surgery marketplace. Through an exclusive licensing agreement, Axis Three has integrated patented image-capture technology developed by Siemens with its own proprietary software to create a powerful, flexible and intuitive platform that can be tailored to a variety of surgical needs. The Company’s first products are designed for plastic surgeons and cosmetic surgery providers.
Axis Three is offering first to market solutions that solve real pain for cosmetic surgeons. The products are easy to install, easy to learn, easy to use, and easy to support. In addition, the robust 3D platform can be productized into numerous new markets. Applications can be developed for custom clothing, podiatry, virtual fitting rooms, gaming, and more.
Axis Three’s first product, Portrait 3D, coupled with the XS-300 hardware, targets breast procedures: augmentation, lift, reduction, and reconstruction. Products in development address face and full-body procedures
Axis Three has offices in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Los Angeles, California
Beyond Imaging…
Existing imaging systems are often little more than simple photography; pictures in 2D or 3D that offer no accurate simulation or measurement capability. Some use 2D morphing programs or Photo Shop to artistically represent cosmetic procedures on a selected 2D view, which cannot then be replicated on the 3D image. Volumetric measurements cannot be taken from a 2D image, and on 3D systems are limited to comparing measurement differences on the pre and post surgical images -- after the surgery has already been performed.
Driven by Science
Axis Three is a software and engineering company that is focused on the science behind the images. Manipulation of the underlying 3D mesh is done easily, and various ‘after’ surgery outcomes in the patient’s 3D image can be demonstrated before the procedure is performed. The measurement tools calculate the ‘before’ and ‘after’ volume (and linear distances) so that the surgeon has an actual guide in planning the procedure. Thus, it is a surgical planning tool: the surgeon can manipulate images and get an analysis of the data which can then be used to perform the procedure. For breast augmentation, it’s as simple as entering the implant size (cc’s) and showing the patient what they will look like.
The Axis Three Solution
For you, improved communication leads to increased sales, more predictable surgical outcomes, and greater; referrals.Your patient is more confident, more relaxed, and more likely to proceed. Designed in collaboration with leading U.S. plastic surgeons, these products are intuitive, the simulation tools are straightforward, and the user-friendly interface is easy to navigate.
