Bryan Keating
Executive Chairman
Dr. Keating is a successful entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience in technology-related start-up businesses. He is currently chairman of Andor Technology, one of the few companies in Northern Ireland to achieve an IPO, and was recently appointed to the Board of Invest Northern Ireland. Bryan has played a major role in spinning out technology from universities and supporting start-up businesses – particularly among science and technology graduates. In addition, Dr. Keating was recently awarded the prestigious Queens Award for enterprise promotion in the UK, an accolade that is only awarded to 15 people every year.

John Knapton
Investment Manager – Crescent Capital
John Knapton is a Chartered Director with over 25 years’ experience in business development and international sales and marketing. His wide experience ranges from building companies from the ground up, to driving growth within multi-national PLCs. Locally, he has worked at board level with such companies as Audio Processing Technology Ltd and Andor Technology PLC, and globally with such industry leaders as Wearnes Corporation in Singapore and Roper Industries in the USA. A long-time member of the IEEE and an active member of the IoD, he also has degrees in Marketing and Engineering and ILM Level 7 diplomas in Executive Coaching & Mentoring.

Jim Curran
Investment Manager, Clarendon Funds
Jim Curran is an Investment Manager at Clarendon Fund Managers Ltd, a Northern Ireland venture capital company that manages investments for the Nitech Growth Fund and the Viridian Growth Fund. Jim holds a MEng in Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, as well as an MBA from the University of Ulster.
Carolynn Rooney
Finance Director
Carolynn Rooney brings strengths in commercial analysis, business process and performance improvement and more than 15 years financial management experience to Axis Three. Carolynn is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 1999. Prior to joining Axis Three she held positions as Financial Controller and Finance Director at Nambarrie Tea Company Ltd. and APT Ltd. She is a graduate of Queens University and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting from the University of Ulster.

Timothy Brundle
Director of Innovation, University of Ulster
Timothy Brundle is responsible for the commercial development of the University of Ulster. In his role as Director of Innovation he leads the University’s support for business and economic development, directs Ireland’s most successful academic consultancy business and manages a highly active technology transfer team. In addition he is the Executive Director of Innovation Ulster Ltd, the University of Ulster’s award-winning technology venturing and investment company.
Timothy has extensive experience and a successful record in Intellectual Property licensing, starting high tech companies, marketing innovation, productizing inventions, raising private equity and leading successful exits. Timothy is a non-Executive Director of a number of early stage high technology companies and is a Board member of Invest NI, Northern Ireland’s economic development body.
